Reacting Film with Chemicals

Reacting Film with chemicals

We tried to achieve colour shifts and image distortions by mixing developed 16mm film with different chemicals. We found out that none of the chemicals made any impact on developed film. After some research we realised that B&W film is not sensitive as much as color film, so that could be a reason why chemicals didn't make any impact to B&W film. We tried to mix undeveloped B&W film with vinegar. It looks like that vinegar made an impact to film emulsion layer, but we were unable to develop film, because darkroom policies do not allow to develop any film that was put into liquid before. We therefore had to rethink our methods of achieving an image modified with acid.
